The Pokémon Company officially announced Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on Pokémon Day in 2022, revealing the game’s starter Pokémon in the process: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. The designs of these Pokémon have already received a positive reception from the fanbase and many are eagerly awaiting the chance to take them out into the world on a new Pokémon journey.

While The Pokémon Company might not have revealed a lot of official information about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, there are some details that fans have been able to work out for themselves. All of the information about the game suggests that its region is based on Spain, making it the third Pokémon region based on a European country. There seems to be some connection to fruit in the game, as there are hints that the scarlet name refers to oranges and the violet to grapes.
