While Pokémon Go trainers catch and complete tasks in the Johto Celebration, Niantic is bringing another event for players to enjoy, this time involving Sneasel.

Pokémon Go will celebrate Sneasel Day over the weekend, giving trainers the best chance to catch the Dark and Ice-type Pokémon as well as its Shiny variant. While Shiny Sneasel has been in the mobile game for quite some time, events like these increase the chances of trainers finding one.

TEAM GO ROCKET TIMED RESEARCH

While you’re out catching Sneasel, you’ll want to keep in mind that a certain Timed Research has already begun.

Some of these tasks will have trainers catching Dark-type Pokémon, which will be much easier to complete when Sneasel Day begins. Starting now until Sunday, February 7 at 8 p.m. local time, the following Timed Research will be in effect in Pokémon Go.

Completing all of these tasks will reward trainers with a Ho-Oh who knows the charged move Earthquake.
