Your journey through the Lental region is about to get even bigger with an upcoming content update for New Pokémon Snap for Nintendo Switch. Arriving August 3, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. PDT, this free update adds three new areas to explore—complete with day and night versions of each—and 20 more Pokémon to discover. You can get a sneak peek of what’s in store by watching the trailer above.

On Florio Island, you’ll explore the Secret Side Path in the nature park. When you enter this area, your NEO-ONE vehicle will shrink, making the Pokémon that inhabit the area look gigantic! This thrilling area will give you a whole new perspective on the world of Pokémon. Mightywide River on Belusylva Island flows through a rugged valley, and it’s teeming with Pokémon that gather near its water. Just watch out for the rapids! Finally, the Barren Badlands of Voluca Island are filled with geysers and poisonous, gas-spewing swamps. Keep your eyes peeled for Pokémon underground and up on rocky cliffs.

As you venture through these new areas, you’ll find 20 more Pokémon that couldn’t be found in the game before. What Pokémon will you discover? Keep your finger on your camera’s shutter button, and see what you can capture!

Before you can explore some of these new areas, you may have to meet certain requirements, so keep playing to unlock all the new content.

Check out the trailer for this extra New Pokémon Snap content now, then be sure to download the free update on August 3!
